Custom neon logo sign inside a retail store

Custom Neon Logo Signs for Retail Brands: From Artwork to Finished Sign

How retail brands can turn logo artwork into custom LED neon signs, with guidance on file preparation, color matching, prototypes, backing options, and brand consistency.

Turning a logo into light

A good neon logo sign is not just a traced version of the artwork. The factory must convert brand shapes into continuous illuminated lines that are readable, durable, and realistic to manufacture. This is especially important for retail chains, beauty studios, gyms, and franchise interiors.

Artwork files and brand colors

Vector files such as AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF are best. If only a PNG or JPG is available, provide the highest resolution file possible. For brand color matching, send Pantone, RGB, or HEX references, but understand that illuminated colors can look different from printed colors.

Backing and mounting choices

Clear acrylic backing gives a clean floating look. Cut-to-shape backing follows the logo outline. Full-board backing is stronger for large signs and easier for installers. Retail buyers should also decide whether the sign needs pre-drilled holes, hanging chains, standoffs, or a concealed cable exit.

Approvals before production

For Western commercial projects, we recommend approving a layout drawing with size, color, cable position, backing shape, and mounting method. This reduces misunderstandings and keeps the sign consistent across multiple store locations.
